Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Billing and Collections Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance on appealing medical claims, reviewing A/R-related correspondence, and collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Medical Claims Appeals: Provide guidance on appealing medical claims Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
  • A/R Review: Review A/R-related correspondence.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Accounts Receivable Analysis: Analyze and interpret Accounts Receivable (A/R).
  • Billing Error Resolution: Provide guidance on identifying and resolving billing errors.
  • Claims Correction: Provide guidance on correcting claims.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality, adhering to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  • Customer Invoicing: Handle customer invoicing.
  • Client and Insurance Appeals: Manage client and insurance appeals.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Collections.
  • Claims Appeals: 1 year of experience in claims appeals.
  • A/R Procedures: Proficient in maintaining A/R procedures for collections.
  • Appeals Processes: Familiarity with appeals processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computers, software applications, and office equipment.
  • Task Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Additional Requirements: Experience with California and/or Nevada Workers' Compensation Claims is a plus.
