Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Claims Specialist to join our team at Southwest Breast and Aesthetics LLC. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing medical claims, resolving billing issues, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate and timely data entry of electronic and/or hardcopy medical claims
  • Input billings and post payments/deposits into accounting software
  • Research and resolve denied billings and take action for collection processes
  • Identify trends in billing and payment issues and communicate issues in a timely manner to supervisor
  • Maintain billing and payment records per contract requirements
  • Communicate with internal and external representatives to facilitate billing issue resolution and build strong working relationships
  • Assist with maintaining policies & procedure documentation
  • Assist with managing special projects as needed
  • Document all account activity and correspond to inquiries in a timely manner
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have experience in accounts receivable and prior authorizations
  • Experience with multi-company / divisional financials highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; strict attention to detail
  • Computer skills needed: MAC knowledge; Google Drive; Advanced MD knowledge is a +
  • A high standard of integrity and sound business ethics
  • Ability to work effectively with other internal and external departments
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
