Job Title: Communications Manager

The Science Philanthropy Alliance is seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our communications strategy to advance our mission and build our public presence across the philanthropic and scientific communities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science communications, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with our team. If you are passionate about science and philanthropy, and have a proven track record of success in communications, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement our communications strategy to advance our mission and build our public presence
  • Write and edit content for our website, social media, and other communications channels
  • Manage our social media presence and develop a content calendar
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement communications plans for our programs and events
  • Monitor and analyze our communications metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of our strategy
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in communications, preferably in a science or philanthropic organization
  • Strong background in science communications and excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with our team
  • Proven track record of success in communications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
