We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Robotics Engineering Manager to join our team at Amazon Robotics. As a key member of our Solution Design Team, you will be responsible for designing and scaling our next generation robotic solutions.
Your primary focus will be on providing business, analytical, and technical design leadership for a multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for managing the design life cycle process, resource planning, and hiring and developing top talent.
You will also be responsible for driving innovative and incremental improvements to robotic solutions using cutting-edge technology, robotics, and data analytics. This will involve leading technical design projects in concert with your team and inspiring strategic design decisions by identifying and analyzing key operational and financial metrics.
In addition, you will manage relationships with key global leaders, partners, and customers to effectively influence, negotiate, and collaborate on systems design and integration. You will also coordinate cross-functionally with program teams to develop next-gen product features that further optimize the performance of our systems.
Responsibilities- Provide business, analytical, and technical design leadership for a multi-disciplinary team
- Manage the design life cycle process and resource planning
- Hire and develop top talent
- Drive innovative and incremental improvements to robotic solutions
- Lead technical design projects in concert with your team
- Inspire strategic design decisions by identifying and analyzing key operational and financial metrics
- Manage relationships with key global leaders, partners, and customers
- Coordinate cross-functionally with program teams
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with a Master's Degree in engineering, operations, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a people manager of industrial engineers, process engineers, systems engineers, manufacturing engineers, or related occupations as direct reports
- Mastery of fundamentals of Industrial Engineering, including probability and statistics, SPC, time studies, business case analysis, ergonomic/safety/human factors analysis
- Demonstrated project management experience with multiple projects
- Experience using MS Excel, SmartSheet, AutoCAD, Revit, and commercial off-the-shelf data manipulation technologies such as Tableau, SQL, etc.
