We invent new improvements every day and are looking for a Mechanical Engineer II to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will develop innovative system architectures and hardware designs for our robotic systems.

The ideal candidate has experience designing and analyzing mechanical systems, enthusiastically enjoys analytical problem-solving, and possesses practical knowledge of high-volume manufacturing methods. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production, including specification, design, prototyping, validation, and testing.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations, as well as vendors, to ensure a smooth product launch. You will also write functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.

A day in the life of a Mechanical Engineer II at Amazon includes working with a cross-functional team to develop innovative solutions, collaborating with vendors to ensure timely delivery, and writing technical documents to communicate your ideas.

Basic qualifications include 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience, a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, and SolidWorks or similar CAD experience. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools, experience in the design of complex mechanical products, and proficiency documenting designs in accordance with ANSI Y-14.5.
