Software Development Engineer

Job Summary
As a Robotic Movement software engineer at Amazon, you will design and deliver cloud-based, high-performance software that controls Amazon's world-wide fleet of mobile robots. We are looking for a skilled software engineer to join our team and contribute to building new services and extending existing ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement robotic applications and infrastructure.
- Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term vision and roadmap.
- Work with stakeholders across organization to iterate on design and implementation.
- Maintain high standards by participating in reviews, designing for fault tolerance and operational excellence, and creating mechanisms for continuous improvement.
- Prototype and test concepts or features, both through simulation and emulators and with live robotic equipment.
- Work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedback.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of design or architecture experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Strong background with algorithms used to solve complex problems for highly-scalable systems.
