Amazon Robotics Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineering student to join our Robotics Manufacturing & Technical Operations team for a Co-op assignment.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys problem solving and can potentially handle multiple parallel tasks.
This role is a 6 month co-op to join AR full time (40 hours/week) from January to June 2025.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and/or improve flexible manufacturing operations (cost, capacity, efficiency, quality, etc.)
- Develop & track metrics to measure program health and readiness
- Design process improvements to increase efficiency, whether in the way teams work together or in the way a production line works
- Create templates and standard work
- Manage both readiness for and execution of build activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) builds
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar degree
- Must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
- Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) 6-month co-op between January - June 2025
- Graduation is December 2025 or later
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lean engineering principles and standard manufacturing KPIs
- Desire to work in an agile environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with teams
- Experience with ERP, MES, and/or PLM software
