Job Summary

UF Health is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist PRN to join our team. As a key member of our cardiac catheterization/electrophysiology laboratories, you will be responsible for performing diversified technical and clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Utilize good radiographic techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and personnel.
Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, with a focus on adult patients.
Proficiently use hospital computer systems to manage patient care and administrative tasks.
Prepare procedure trays and equipment, maintaining sterility during surgical procedures.
Employ good body mechanics and techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Initiate accurate patient charges and maintain accurate records.
Develop proficiency in using EP lab equipment to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or Associate's Degree, with specific coursework in Radiology and/or Cardiovascular Program, or 5+ years of experience in Invasive labs or similar medical/surgical experience.
Preferred education: Graduate of RTR or CVT Program.
Required licensure/certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
Must meet one of the following requirements: 1. Be a Registered Radiologic Technologist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS); 2. Have 5+ years Cath Lab/EP experience; 3. New graduate who must obtain RCES/RCIS certification within 2 years of hire or transfer into position.
Less than one year of knowledge of Cardiac Cath Labs or EP Labs, Computers, and Patient Care.
