Role SummaryThe Quality Assurance Automation Specialist is responsible for the design and execution of comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role involves:
- Developing and implementing formal testing protocols to validate software applications.
- Participating in test strategy formulation, crafting test cases/scripts, automating test cases, and executing tests.
- Establishing and monitoring quality assurance metrics, including defect counts and test outcomes.
- Gathering and interpreting data for software process assessment and enhancements, integrating findings into business workflows to meet organizational needs.
- Providing quality process training to technical teams and serving as an internal quality advisor to influence business and technical stakeholders.
- Conducting quality audits across IT functions to ensure adherence to established quality standards and methodologies.
- Developing, testing, and documenting new or enhanced Machine Learning systems to create scalable applications for diverse clinical scenarios.
- Writing clean, well-structured, high-quality code that meets industry standards, optimizes performance, and fulfills business requirements.
- Keeping abreast of complementary programming languages, development methodologies, user interface design practices, and database technologies.
- Designing and constructing relational databases for effective data management.
- Formulating strategies for data warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and archival recovery.
- Maintaining database integrity by removing outdated data and evaluating new data sources for quality and integration compatibility.
- Collaborating closely with clients, business analysts, and team members to comprehend business requirements that guide the analysis and design of effective technical solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
- Engaging in the complete systems life cycle, responsible for the design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of application software delivered within budget and timelines.
- Recommending the development of new code or the reuse of existing code, participating in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and making buy versus build recommendations. Demonstrating experience in systems analysis, design, and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience: Typically requires 3 to 5 years of experience in systems development, testing, and/or business analysis.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in various programming languages such as AngularJS, CSS, HTML, Java, .NET, NodeJS, Ruby, and SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize design documentation, in-line comments, code reviews, and testing methodologies to produce and maintain high-quality code.
- Strong object-oriented design skills with excellent analytical capabilities.
- Ability to write SQL queries for database interaction.
- Understanding of database structures and the ability to modify tables as needed.
- Familiarity with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
