Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services. As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage and interpret orders, accurately inputting them into our computerized medication order system while meeting productivity standards.
  • Perform drug calculations, including basic mathematical conversions.
  • Resolve issues of denials and follow-up claims in Point of Sale (POS).
  • Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
  • Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up.
  • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers.
  • Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy-related experience.
  • Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system.
  • Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs.
