About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our Valuation & Advisory Services (VAS) business line, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing local and regional business marketing and development strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with clients to gain a deep understanding of their business goals and objectives.
  • Work together with clients to identify new business opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic direction toward the creation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
  • Set and measure operational and financial goals for client accounts.
  • Provide oversight on profit and loss for accounts, including budget and forecast development, monthly business reviews, and achievement of sales targets.
  • Review financial reports and develop cases for budgets and reserve investments while prioritizing key initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, including business leaders, investment partners, and potential customers.
  • Apply a robust knowledge of multiple fields, the business, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
  • Identify and tackle problems using the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
  • Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job field.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE's RISE values.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Real Estate license required.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of complicated and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to set and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Expert organizational skills and an inquisitive approach.
  • Sophisticated math skills.
