Job Summary

As a Product Quality Manager - Technical Lead at Apple, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with engineering, product development, and reliability engineering operations teams to drive quality and reliability initiatives
  • Develop and implement quality programs and process control plans to ensure high-quality products
  • Manage the Product Quality Plan (PQP) and innovate as needed to ensure robust quality for new products
  • Develop and implement new technologies to improve production quality, capacity, and efficiency
  • Communicate technical updates to the executive team and own product quality strategy and execution
  • Manage quality processes at OEMs, including Incoming Quality Control (IQC), Outgoing Quality Control (OQC), and Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT)
  • Evaluate prospective suppliers regarding quality management and ensure contract manufacturers are prepared for pre-production builds
  • Incorporate lessons learned from sustaining/shipping products into design and process improvements for next-generation products
Requirements
  • Outstanding ability to build relationships and clear, consistent communication
  • Results-oriented thinking and enthusiastic and motivated
  • Laser-focused on the smallest details and able to use data forensics to solve complex manufacturing assembly quality issues
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following subject areas: New Product Introduction / Design Engineering / Manufacturing Operations consumer electronics
  • Good understanding of electronic assembly processes and solid understanding of statistical analysis and production control processes
  • Knowledgeable in data analysis and interpretation, with Tableau scripting and JMP scripting knowledge preferred
  • Experience partnering with international contract manufacturers in mass production and ability to travel internationally about 20-30%
  • Outstanding communications skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience

BS/MS in Engineering or equivalent, MS preferred. Pay and benefits will be determined within a range, with a base pay range of $122,300 to $184,600.
