Key Responsibilities:

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will play a crucial role in:

  • Driving the implementation and enhancement of the TTC Business System throughout the manufacturing site, collaborating with all organizational levels to achieve top-tier performance.
  • Engaging with site leadership, operational staff, corporate leaders, and fellow Lean experts to cultivate a genuine Lean Enterprise.
  • Leading the establishment and execution of standardized Lean practices to promote growth, operational excellence, and employee empowerment.
  • Reporting to the Operations Director and working closely with the site leadership team to ensure the adoption of best practices that enhance quality, productivity, customer service, and stakeholder relations.
  • Participating in the creation, execution, and upkeep of transformation strategies, providing coaching and training on Lean methodologies, facilitating Kaizen events, and mentoring future Lean leaders.

Your Contributions:

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Guiding transformation teams in the application of the TTC Business System, which encompasses Strategy Deployment, EH&S integration, and various process improvement methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, and more.
  • Collaborating with site leadership to formulate transformation strategies and coordinate annual improvement plans.
  • Working with leadership to develop long-term strategic initiatives and annual objectives that enhance key performance indicators, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
  • Establishing and refining operating principles and communication strategies to ensure transparency in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Conducting assessments of TTC Business System maturity and coordinating plans to address gaps, while collaborating with the TTC Senior Lean Enterprise team and external Lean experts.
  • Providing training and mentorship on Lean principles and tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement across all organizational levels.
  • Facilitating Kaizen events, monitoring progress, and ensuring that improvements are sustained while coaching others to become Lean facilitators.
  • Offering project management support for complex, cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Regularly updating site leadership on Lean initiatives, project statuses, and customer needs.
  • Actively participating as a member of the TTC Lean Enterprise Team to enhance the Lean system, share best practices, and support fellow Lean Managers.
  • Staying informed about advancements in Lean methodologies through ongoing education and benchmarking.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • For Lean Manager I: A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience in Lean principles and practices.
  • For Lean Manager II: At least 10 years of experience in leading Lean transformations in manufacturing and other business areas.
  • Lean practitioner certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in transforming business processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Practical experience in project management and Lean implementation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset.
  • Progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with a record of increased responsibility.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse individuals.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Aptitude for understanding and improving processes.
  • Experience in welding, painting, assembly, injection molding, or extrusion processes is preferred.
  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or Engineering is advantageous.
  • Potential for managing employees or overseeing teams on a project basis.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to adjust work hours to facilitate team activities.
  • Capability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions.
  • Proficiency in using standard office and industrial tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
