Job Title: Director, Nursing Success Center

The University of St. Thomas seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of the Nursing Success Center. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Nursing Success Center, which provides academic support services to undergraduate nursing students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of Nursing Success Center operations, including academic advising, monitoring academic progression, and retention support activities.
  • Supervision of support staff and collaboration with faculty and other university personnel to ensure effective student support services.
  • Management of data tracking and reporting for student progression from admission through graduation.
  • Development and implementation of student success policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration with the faculty and other PSON staff to evaluate current administrative and program planning processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend new processes.
  • Management of the NCLEX-RN readiness process and associated HESIs for traditional BSN and ABSN students.
  • Management of processes associated with TXBON requirements for the Undergraduate Program (ABSN and BSN).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, counseling, or advising; master's degree required, MBA or MA in counseling or advising preferred.
  • At least five years of managerial and supervisory experience, with demonstrated experience with computer systems, software, and data analysis.
  • Work experience with advising in a college or university setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
