Job Summary:

The Director of Nurses will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting. You will work closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote quality care and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and training of nursing staff to ensure a skilled and dedicated team.
  • Manage the nursing budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current Texas State Nursing License as a registered professional nurse.
  • 3+ years of experience in nursing service administration.
  • Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and 51-100 pounds with assistance.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment with minimal exposure to dust, chemicals, or noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
