Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Showroom Sales Specialist will be responsible for managing the showroom's visual presentation, including displays, furnishings, and decorative elements, ensuring an engaging and innovative environment. This role will also focus on coordinating sales initiatives and marketing efforts through social media to drive profitability for the store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist customers who visit the showroom, providing support for their purchasing decisions.
  • Conduct in-home consultations and regular in-store meetings to guide clients in selecting furniture and décor.
  • Maintain an organized showroom with accurate pricing and tagging of products.
  • Regularly refresh floor displays and vignettes to enhance customer engagement.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies via social media platforms.
  • Prepare daily sales reports and ensure proper handling of cash receipts in accordance with company policies.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to foster long-term relationships.
  • Create quotes and invoices for customer projects.
  • Perform inventory checks to ensure accuracy of stock data.
  • Utilize company software for tracking and analyzing sales data.
  • Ensure the showroom is consistently clean and inviting for customers.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and creative skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma; coursework in business or interior design is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail preferred.
  • Experience in home décor or furnishings is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in social media marketing is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Availability to work occasional Saturdays.
