Russell Tobin is seeking a skilled Printing Press Technician to join our team.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $30-39/hr.

Position Summary:

The Printing Press Technician is responsible for operating specialized machinery to create high-quality packaging solutions for various markets. This role emphasizes a strong commitment to operational excellence, safety, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain offset printing equipment to produce printed materials according to client specifications.
  • Prepare and set up printing presses for production runs, ensuring all parameters meet job requirements.
  • Review job orders to ascertain printing needs, including quantity, materials, colors, and special instructions.
  • Adjust press settings to accommodate different paper types and thicknesses.
  • Monitor the printing process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Oversee and assist junior technicians in equipment operation and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure timely and effective setup and changeover of printing jobs.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in operating offset printing machinery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills for operational tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination are essential for operating machinery safely.
  • Must be available for overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed jobs to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal quality objectives.
