We are seeking a skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our cardiac team in a locum/travel opportunity. As a Surgical First Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our surgeons during complex cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons during cardiac surgeries, including off-pump bypass graft cases, AVR, MVR, TVR, and minimally invasive procedures
  • Provide technical support during thoracoscopic/thoracotomy and pacemaker implantations
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedure execution
  • Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Surgical First Assistant in a cardiac surgery setting
  • Strong technical skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
