We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at MSO - Texas Bone & Joint. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related clinical setting. You will be responsible for scheduling appointments, checking in and out patients, collecting co-payments, and performing various administrative duties. Additionally, you will assist nursing staff with selected tasks and provide excellent customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and canceling patient appointments
  • Checking-in and checking-out patients
  • Entering charges and payments
  • Answering the telephone
  • Verifying patient insurance and demographics
  • Collection of co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances
  • Performing selected administrative duties and assisting nursing staff
Requirements
  • One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • Medical Assistant Certification (NCRMA certification/ABR- required)
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
