Position Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Breast Imaging Sonographer plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care through advanced ultrasound techniques.

Employment Type:
Full Time, 0.8, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Work Schedule:
Rotating shifts
Compensation:
$58.08 per hour, based on relevant experience.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Mammography (M) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Certification in Breast Sonography (BS) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- State licensure as required by law.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in Mammography or Breast Sonography.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid prior to start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care by performing various ultrasound procedures.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
- Mentor and guide new staff members in imaging practices and protocols.
- Embrace ongoing learning in a dynamic clinical environment.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met at all times.
Sonographer Duties:
- Review patient medical history and physician orders, manage scheduling.
- Educate patients about procedures and equipment to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as per scope of practice.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond to any changes appropriately.
- Select appropriate imaging parameters and exposure factors.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct quality control checks on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions.
- Position patients effectively and perform imaging procedures.
- Analyze imaging results and identify any quality issues.
