- Human Resources Management: Determine staffing needs, establish clear personnel policies, and provide coaching and mentorship to staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Financial Management: Work with our Board and Finance Committee to develop and manage our budget, ensuring financial stability and risk management.
- Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between employees and our Board of Directors, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Community Engagement: Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders and partners to enhance our organization's visibility and impact.
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles, preferably within non-profit organizations.
- Experience growing revenue, managing costs, improving marketing programs, obtaining sponsorships.
- 10 years of leadership, senior management experience.
- Marketing, PR, experience as a fundraiser is highly sought after for this position.
- Experience with museums or historical centers is highly preferred.
- Strong strategic planning and operational management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a Board of Directors and lead diverse teams.
- Passion for culture, history, and community engagement.
- Willingness to work on-site in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Salary: Base salary of $90,000, with potential adjustments based on candidate qualifications.
