Job Title: Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc. This is a contract opportunity with a 06+ months duration and is located in a hybrid setting.

Job Summary:

The Data Architect will play a crucial role in assisting our client in building their enterprise data strategy related to client data modernization efforts. This involves migrating data to the cloud and implementing sound data strategies, pipelines, and access across cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building the enterprise data strategy for client data modernization efforts.
  • Implement and guide data engineering development teams on sound data strategies, pipelines, and access across cloud-based services.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in cloud data architecture and data management.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Key skills include data modeling, master data management, data governance, data migration from on-premises to AWS Cloud, and Power BI.
  • Experience building enterprise data management solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts using dimensional modeling with cloud-based services (i.e., Databricks, S3, Redshift) preferably within an AWS environment.
  • Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data cleansing, data governance, and enterprise data solutioning.
  • Advanced knowledge of database design.
  • Expert-level SQL experience with complex and efficient queries in Db2 and SQL Server.
  • Experience building T-SQL scripts, functions, and stored procedures with SQL Server and Db2.
  • Experienced with BI tools, including Power BI.
  • Experience with programming languages and understanding of data access and data integration needs.
  • Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud and Data Quality solutions.
  • Exposure to z/os (mainframe) data.
