Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security events from various sources, including SIEM, ticketing systems, email, chat, and phone.
  • Conduct initial event discovery, triage, and response as per the Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Apply knowledge of modern threat landscapes and industry best practices and standards in multiple channels, including incident response and digital forensics, security orchestration and automation, identity access management, data loss prevention, malware response, endpoint threat and intrusion protection, and perimeter threat and intrusion protection.
  • Provide tier one operational and analysis support, assisting team efforts in resolution of incidents and outages for various technologies, including computer and incident response monitoring, security incident event monitoring systems, firewalls, software-defined network security, web proxies, and web application firewalls.
  • Partner with team members and other technology teams in handling and responding to internal customer issues, assisting in problem analysis, and ensuring timely remediation of security issues in accordance with corporate policies and standards.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in software development, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, applications, and security controls in at least two of the following domains: network/perimeter security, enterprise endpoint security, DLP and secure data transmission, storage, and access, identity and access management, event log aggregation, searching, and analysis, and security architectures.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack, including routing, network address translation, TCP/UDP connectivity, and application-level protocols: HTTP, SMTP, DNS, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills, highly detail-oriented, strong on workflow process, and ability to manage and follow up on multiple competing priorities effectively.
