Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at GH Phipps. As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will be responsible for providing accurate estimates and value engineering to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and foster positive long-term relationships with internal customers and business partners
  • Execute GH Phipps policies and procedures
  • Cultivate new and existing business relationships by engaging in client pursuits, RFP's, and interviews
  • Assume overall responsibility for the preconstruction stage of each project
  • Prepare estimates for all stages of design from Conceptual through Final Construction Documents
  • Organize departmental team to ensure each estimator knows responsibilities and deadlines
  • Perform value engineering and life cycle costing
  • Participate with the Project Manager in award of all subcontracts and write all subcontracts
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field
  • Eight (8) to twelve (12) years CM/GC commercial estimating experience required
  • Solid computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Proficient in use of estimating software
  • Able to read drawings and specifications
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction industry practices and standards
