Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or a related engineering discipline with a strong focus on design drafting.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of technical experience in a manufacturing or engineering office setting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2010 or newer.
  • Strong skills in MS Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn additional software as needed.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is advantageous.
  • The ability to read and interpret project specifications, architectural and structural drawings, and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • A mechanical aptitude and the capability to understand complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with precision and efficiency.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities.
  • Independence in work with critical thinking skills and minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to foster effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Key Responsibilities

In this role, your daily tasks may include:

  • Engaging with clients to clarify engineering requirements.
  • Updating orders to align with specific job requirements using an ERP system.
  • Reviewing and interpreting specifications, sketches, and layout drawings.
  • Ensuring compliance with governing code authorities for product specifications.
  • Conducting complex engineering calculations as required.
  • Preparing detailed assembly and part drawings for fabrication.
  • Providing troubleshooting support for products and components via phone and email to assist clients in resolving field issues.
  • Coordinating with service technicians by providing necessary components or information.
  • Assisting other departments as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
