Job Description

At Librae Bakery, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy bakery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Chef and Culinary Director in menu design, production planning, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Management: Assist in menu design, oversee daily pastry production, and ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and train the pastry team on new recipes and standards, promoting a positive and professional work environment.
  • Inventory and Ordering: Manage monthly inventory, food ordering, and organization to maintain cleanliness and efficiency in storage and common areas.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control assessments of raw products and pastries, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced bakery environment, preferably as a pastry sous chef or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to multitask in a high-volume setting.
  • Food safety certification (NYC Food Handler's License preferred).
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays, as required.
