We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Services Director to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for leading the Environmental Services department in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Departmental Goals: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives that align with the organization's overall strategy.
- Lead and Manage Staff: Supervise and manage a team of environmental services staff, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
- Ensure Compliance and Quality: Ensure that all environmental services operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage Budget and Resources: Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support the delivery of high-quality environmental services.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, including nursing, patient care, and facilities management, to ensure that environmental services operations are integrated with other hospital functions.
- Improve Patient Experience: Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and experience, including reducing turnaround times for discharge cleaning and ensuring that patient rooms are clean and safe.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and apply this knowledge to improve environmental services operations.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of leadership experience in environmental services or a related field; 6-8 years of experience working in environmental services or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
