Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer II PRN to join our team at The Medical Center of Aurora. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures, operating ultrasound equipment, and preparing the room with necessary equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures
  • Interact with patients, medical staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide care to assigned patients and ensure a safe patient care environment
  • Maintain technical skills and use equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety
  • Assist in collecting data for performance improvement monitors and conducting quality control on equipment
  • Perform clerical duties, receptionist tasks, and other secondary responsibilities as needed
Requirements
  • Current ARDMS certification with Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification
  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program
  • Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinical experience
  • Familiarity with majority of ultrasound and/or NIVA procedures
  • High degree of manual, critical thinking skills, and dexterity skills necessary for operation of equipment and patient care
