Customer Service Representative

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Care Specialist to join our team at 22nd Century Technologies. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a courteous and professional manner
- Utilize specialized customer service tracking software to accurately document customer service issues
- Communicate effectively with customers, officials, and other employees
- Perform various tasks simultaneously, including telephone and data entry
- Responsible for completing, compiling, preparing, and maintaining records in various record-keeping systems
- Responsible for handling inquiries and processing special assessments, annual exemptions, and corrections
- Verifies all applicable special assessments are added or removed from the annual assessment roll and properly update the customer record information in the Property Appraiser's CAMA system
- Types and utilizes word processing, spreadsheet, and on-line software
- Utilize maps and online databases to retrieve information on an individual's tax record and answer various questions
- Cross-train with scale house personnel and assist when necessary
- Responsible for the completion of special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma
- Minimum of four (4) years clerical office experience, including two (2) years of extensive public contact and on-line program experience
- Ability to type 35-40 words per minute
- Valid driver's license and ability to secure a valid Florida driver's license at the time of employment
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) ability is highly desirable
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stresses of the job and deal with conflict in an appropriate manner
