This leader plans, develops, and directs the activities of the system's oncology services. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring department and division projects and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve oncology services
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve departmental goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of care
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to inform decision-making
  • Stay up-to-date on current reimbursement and clinical issues affecting cancer services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in health service administration, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of progressive leadership/administrative experience in oncology services
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Knowledge of current reimbursement and clinical issues affecting cancer services
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to solution
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills at all levels
