Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

Direct the IT Operations Team to deliver exceptional customer support across the organization, ensuring that internal IT business requirements are met with professionalism.

Serve as a trusted advisor in technology, fostering relationships with business leaders to gain a comprehensive understanding of their needs and ensuring that technology solutions align with evolving business demands.

Formulate and execute the technology infrastructure vision, strategy, and roadmap to support the company's strategic initiatives in line with business goals.

Develop training and growth plans for team members, focusing on certifications and skill enhancement.

Establish and communicate policies, practices, and procedures, ensuring operational compliance with industry best practices and quality assurance standards.

Lead significant initiatives through formal project management, creating project plans, defining tasks, budgeting, and monitoring project status to ensure timely completion.

Oversee work orders for team members, ensuring adherence to schedules and fulfillment of customer requirements. Manage the responsibilities of the Facility and Safety Manager to meet organizational needs.



Systems Administration:

Provide guidance or delegate tasks in the administration and implementation of Linux systems, including Database Servers, Application Servers, and Web Servers.

Oversee or delegate tasks in the administration and implementation of Windows Servers, including Domain Controllers/Active Directory, Application Servers, Print Services, Web Services, and Data Storage.



Security and Data Management:

Lead or delegate tasks in the administration and implementation of internet security systems, including Firewalls, Anti-Virus, Intrusion Prevention, and Spam Filtering.

Take a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.

Stay informed on industry security trends and regularly discuss them with the team and IT Security leadership.

Ensure the safety and integrity of all information systems and data, minimizing downtime through effective backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Monitor disaster recovery systems for redundancy, maintenance, and testing, coordinating with internal auditors as necessary.

Maintain the security of information and communication systems by enforcing data security protocols and leading internal and external network audits.

Actively participate in IT security committee meetings, contributing new ideas to enhance overall technology and data security.

Manage IT processes related to employee onboarding, promotions, and separations, collaborating with Human Resources for talent acquisition and performance management.

Engage in the annual IT budget process.



Network and Desktop Administration:

Provide leadership or delegate tasks in the administration and implementation of core networking systems, including VOIP, internet connectivity, and internal networks.

Oversee or delegate tasks in the administration of phone and fax systems, ensuring reliable communication services.

Maintain the availability and longevity of information systems through effective equipment maintenance and contract management.

Provide leadership in the administration of PCs, laptops, printers, and home office setups.

Monitor processes for installing new equipment, software, and security updates, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Identify and implement new solutions when service levels are not met.



Leadership and Development:

Communicate vision and expectations to team members, aligning them with corporate goals.

Maintain professional interactions within the organization and with external partners.

Equip team members with the necessary tools to achieve objectives.

Provide consistent feedback and communication regarding team and company performance.

Empower team members to make decisions based on established criteria and monitor performance for successful outcomes.

Define roles and responsibilities for team members in both physical and virtual environments.

Select, mentor, and retain staff, inspiring them to pursue excellence.

Identify opportunities for improvement and offer constructive feedback for enhanced performance.

Collaborate with Human Resources for talent acquisition, training, and performance management.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Minimum of four years of experience in system administration (Linux or Windows) and systems architecture.

At least four years of experience with information security policies and audits.

Proven experience in leading, supervising, and managing teams.

Physical Requirements:
Regular attendance is essential. Work is conducted in a semi-paperless office environment, utilizing standard office equipment, which may require prolonged periods of sitting. Occasional lifting of office supplies up to 50 pounds may be necessary. Work is primarily indoors with minimal exposure to outdoor conditions.
