POSITION SUMMARY:

The Meat Specialist is responsible for executing various meat cuts, utilizing both manual and mechanical tools for meat processing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing the stocking of products in both fresh and frozen displays
  • Adhering to established protocols for receiving and processing incoming deliveries
  • Pricing of products
  • Ensuring the quality, safety, accuracy, and proper rotation of items in refrigeration units
  • Repackaging meat products as necessary
  • Engaging in continuous meat processing with knives and/or saws
  • Upholding a safe and sanitary workspace to comply with health and safety regulations
  • Delivering exceptional customer service

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Basic culinary skills; familiarity with food handling and preparation
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Candidates should possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for effective job performance.
