Job Title: Payroll Manager

Job Summary:

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for processing the company's payroll on time, accurately, and with a focus on optimizing efficiency. This individual will exercise strong attention to detail to ensure payroll compliance with company, federal, and state government regulations. The Payroll Manager will handle all deductions, tax setup, exemptions, and other payroll-related functions, including audits, annual tax forms, responding to requests for information, and data entry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll, including payroll taxes, deductions, 401k funding, garnishments, and benefits, in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Stay current with laws and regulations related to payroll and make recommendations for changes to policies and procedures as needed.
  • Manage any payroll discrepancies and respond promptly to associate inquiries.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for locations on payroll tax, including multi-state, new registrations, and SUI tax rate changes.
  • Coordinate year-end processing, including notification of special taxable benefits, such as tuition reimbursement, car allowance, gift cards; assisting with system changes due to organizational restructuring.
  • Audit payroll registers, tax reports, 401k, and benefit vendor invoices for accuracy.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Payroll experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal & State Tax Laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional).
  • Experience with Paycor.
  • Experience with Concur.
