The Senior Production Team Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring that production and warehouse schedules are adhered to while achieving all departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This position is responsible for coordinating the workflow among production control, labeling, warehouse operations, and shipping departments.

Shift Availability:
Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm (10-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Production Control, Warehouse, Production, and Shipping to execute the production schedule.
  • Align workflow with Scheduling and Warehouse teams.
  • Coordinate labeling processes with warehouse operations.
  • Oversee departmental planning and KPI achievement.
  • Report on departmental KPIs regularly.
  • Ensure adherence to production processes and assist employees with workflow challenges.
  • Maintain compliance with warehouse processes and provide support to employees facing work process issues.
  • Organize physical inventory, tools, and supplies; uphold cleanliness standards within the department.
  • Review work for accuracy, neatness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage and refine departmental processes; analyze and standardize procedures to enhance worker efficiency.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed by shipping department personnel; enforce the use of appropriate safety equipment.
  • Adhere to ISO/TL9000 requirements relevant to the position.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience in supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to read and write in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills; capable of analyzing situations and identifying efficiency/productivity issues while proposing improvements.
  • Proven ability to foster positive relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Competence in counting and recognizing products.
  • Able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Capable of executing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in training and coaching employees.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.

Work Environment:

This role is situated within a warehouse/distribution center, with some outdoor exposure during working hours. Employees may encounter fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The noise level can be high, and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, as well as warehouse tools like hand trucks and box cutters, are routinely used.

Physical Demands:

Employees are regularly required to use their hands for handling and feeling; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and maneuvering around pallets is required. Occasional sitting and climbing or balancing may be necessary. Employees must regularly lift and/or move objects exceeding 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Climbing ladders to retrieve stock is also a requirement.
