The Senior Production Team Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring that production and warehouse timelines are adhered to while achieving all departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This position is responsible for managing the workflow between production control, labeling, warehouse operations, and shipping departments.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Production Control, Warehouse, Production, and Shipping to execute the production schedule.
  • Align workflow with Scheduling and Warehouse teams.
  • Coordinate labeling processes with warehouse operations.
  • Oversee departmental planning and ensure KPI achievement.
  • Report on departmental KPIs regularly.
  • Ensure adherence to production processes and assist staff with operational challenges.
  • Maintain compliance with warehouse procedures and support employees in resolving work-related issues.
  • Organize physical inventory, tools, and supplies; uphold cleanliness standards in the department.
  • Review work for accuracy, neatness, and compliance with established policies.
  • Update and manage departmental processes; analyze and standardize procedures to enhance worker efficiency.
  • Enforce safety protocols among all shipping department personnel; ensure proper safety equipment is utilized.
  • Adhere to ISO/TL9000 standards relevant to the role.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in supply chain or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to read and write in English; bilingual skills are advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills with the capacity to identify efficiency and productivity issues and propose improvements.
  • Proven ability to foster positive relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to count and recognize products accurately.
  • Able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in training and coaching team members.
  • Capacity to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

This role is situated in a warehouse/distribution center, with occasional outdoor exposure during work hours. Employees may encounter fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The noise level can be high, and standard office equipment, as well as warehouse tools, will be used regularly.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to use their hands for handling and manipulation, reach with arms, and communicate effectively. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and maneuvering around pallets is required. Employees may occasionally need to sit and perform climbing or balancing tasks. Regular lifting and/or moving of objects exceeding 25 pounds is necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
