Job Description for Performance and Aging Testing at Emerald Technologies

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Test Engineer to join our team at Emerald Technologies. As a key member of our laboratory, you will be responsible for conducting performance and aging tests on individual cells (Li-Ion) and implementing customer-specific test requirements according to instructions from the test management.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct performance and aging tests on individual cells (Li-Ion) and analyze the results to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Implement customer-specific test requirements according to instructions from the test management, ensuring that all tests are conducted in a controlled and precise manner.
  • Prepare and set up cells for performance and aging tests, ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are available.
  • Assemble and disassemble test rigs and measurement equipment for the aforementioned test requirements, ensuring that all components are properly connected and functioning correctly.
  • Start test runs, ensuring that all necessary safety protocols are followed and that the test environment is controlled and stable.
  • Document the test setup, including photo documentation, to ensure that all test results can be accurately recorded and analyzed.
  • Monitor test progress and ensure measurement quality, making adjustments as necessary to ensure that all tests are conducted to the highest standards.
  • Perform logistical tasks related to sample storage, including incoming and outgoing inspections, to ensure that all samples are properly handled and stored.
Qualifications:
  • Completed vocational training as an industrial electrician, industrial mechatronics technician, automotive mechatronics technician, electrician, or similar field.
  • Good knowledge of the basics of electrical engineering, including circuit analysis and electrical measurement techniques.
  • Manual skills in mechanical processing (drilling, grinding, screwing) as well as electrical connection and cable laying.
  • Affinity for electromobility, curiosity, and interest in technological progress.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, conscientious, and structured work style.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (desirable).
  • Very good German skills, good English skills (advantageous).
