Assistant Director of Rehab Job Description Solaris HealthCare Forest Lake is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director of Rehab. As a key member of our rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing top-quality care to our residents. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Director of Rehabilitation in planning, developing, and implementing rehabilitation services. Supervise and support the rehabilitation staff, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and therapy assistants. Ensure that all rehabilitation services are provided in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, and regulations. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents. Monitor and manage departmental budgets, resources, and supplies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the rehabilitation team. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident assessments, treatments, and progress notes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead efforts to enhance clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the facility remains compliant and competitive. Qualifications: Must possess current Florida state license in good standing with the State Board - PT, PTA, OTR, COTA, or SLP. Minimum of 2-4 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting. Previous supervisory or management experience in a rehabilitation department is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to rehabilitation services in skilled nursing facilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and other relevant software applications.
