Job Title: Environmental & Sustainability Program Specialist

Job Summary:

Vallourec USA Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Environmental & Sustainability Program Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Environmental systems to promote a proactive environmental culture while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental programs to achieve world-class environmental performance.
  • Conduct assessments and audits to improve the environmental culture and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and maintain environmental policies and procedures, as well as training materials and programs.
  • Build relationships through effective communication and responsiveness with site personnel, operations personnel, and other departments.
  • Support company initiatives and participate in continuous improvement teams and working groups.
  • Manage environmental issues, permits, and plans related to topics including stormwater, air, waste, wastewater, emergency plans, energy management, etc.
  • Be familiar with local, state, and EPA environmental regulations and interpret their application to each location.
  • Perform field inspection activities for regulatory compliance.
  • Report environmental indicators to internal and external parties, as required.
  • Provide technical support in troubleshooting high-level environmental issues.
  • Write technical and management systems reports and documents.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience working in an environmental compliance/management position, or related field.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, or related field is required.
  • Experience training team members and developing training materials.
  • Related environmental certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and ISO 14001 Integrated Management Systems.
  • Experience working within the steel industry preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak well in English.
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions well.
  • Must be familiar with statistical and quality-related software programs.
  • Must be able to pass applicable testing as required.
  • Must be available for periodic in-town and long-distance travel.

Travel Requirements:

  • 20% local and domestic travel is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
