This role involves providing essential support across various clients to facilitate influence initiatives that align with their governmental and business development goals. Velos serves prominent figures in sectors such as Defense, Space & Intelligence, and Homeland Security.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform research on budgets and legislative matters
- Attend and provide summaries of congressional hearings and industry gatherings
- Track and compile industry news for a weekly e-newsletter
- Assist in the creation of issue papers, talking points, presentations, quantitative analyses, and other materials for clients
- Complete additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Upperclassman or Graduate student status
- Demonstrated interest or experience in defense or national security sectors
- Familiarity with federal appropriations and the legislative process
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
