Job Description

AHRI is seeking a highly skilled Director, Regulatory Affairs to join our team. This critical role will be responsible for directing AHRI's policy agenda and coordinating regulatory priorities in the areas of energy efficiency, environment, climate, chemicals, and decarbonization policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Anticipate and recommend strategies for internal and external policy and regulatory issues.
  • Engage with AHRI members to develop consensus on priority needs and policy positions.
  • Develop and lead the development of comments on regulatory rulemakings that affect the industry.
  • Play a key role in the development of AHRI policy positions to enable AHRI to act proactively on priority issues.
  • Draft comments, testimony, white papers, and talking points for external communications.
  • Advance AHRI policy priorities by participating in industry coalitions.
  • Provide rapid response on AHRI priorities through the development of comments and letters.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in public policy, government affairs, political science, or a related field.
  • Minimum five to ten years of experience in energy and environment or related fields, with most experience in a trade association.

AHRI offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package, including employer contributions to 401(k) and Roth(k) plans, in a friendly work environment. The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000.
