Director, Regulatory Affairs

AHRI is seeking a highly skilled Director, Regulatory Affairs to join our team. As a key member of our Government Affairs Team, you will play a critical role in shaping AHRI's policy agenda and coordinating regulatory priorities in the areas of energy efficiency, environment, climate, chemicals, and decarbonization policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Anticipate and analyze internal and external policy and regulatory issues, providing strategic recommendations to AHRI members.
  • Engage with AHRI members to develop consensus on priority needs and policy positions.
  • Develop and lead the development of comments on regulatory rulemakings that affect the industry.
  • Contribute to the development of AHRI policy positions to enable proactive action on priority issues.
  • Draft comments, testimony, white papers, and talking points for external communications.
  • Advance AHRI policy priorities through active participation in industry coalitions.
  • Provide rapid response on AHRI priorities through the development of comments, letters, and talking points.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in public policy, government affairs, political science, or a related field.
  • Minimum five to ten years of experience in energy and environment or related fields, with most experience in a trade association.

AHRI offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package, including employer contributions to 401(k) and Roth(k) plans, in a friendly work environment. The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000.
