Recovery Guide

Description

The Recovery Guide partners with clients with severe and persistent mental illness in their wellness journey. This person functions as a peer support to clients and provides targeted resources needed to be more vocationally successful.

The Recovery Guide is a person who has a unique perspective of serious mental illness because of his/her own experience with the recovery processes of psychiatric disorders.

This experience enables an understanding of client struggles and provides them with unique sensitivity to client issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to clients with severe and persistent mental illness

• Partner with clients to develop targeted resources for vocational success

• Utilize personal experience with recovery processes to provide unique sensitivity to client issues

Requirements

• HS diploma/GED required

• Peer Recovery Supporter Certification required

• Non-smoker

• COVID and flu vaccinations required

• Religious and medical exemptions may be requested during the hiring process
