Are you a skilled Medical Lab Professional seeking a new opportunity in your career? LCA Lab. Corp. of America is looking for dedicated individuals to become part of our team as a Medical Technologist. In this role, you will thrive in a dynamic, patient-centered environment, contributing to our mission of enhancing health and improving lives.
Work Schedule: 3rd Shift, M-F; 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM with rotating weekends
Department: Microbiology
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the suitability of specimens for testing based on established guidelines.
- Execute routine and advanced technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Exhibit proficiency in making technical decisions related to testing and problem resolution.
- Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls.
- Deliver accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
- Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control measures.
- Manage and replenish laboratory supplies as needed.
- Assist with specimen processing when required.
- Maintain a safe working environment and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science or laboratory science/Medical Technology.
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
- ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist is required.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in computer usage; familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must pass a standardized color vision screening.
- Flexibility to work overtime or adjust shifts based on business needs.
