About This Opportunity

Vantedge Medical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the full cycle of accounts payable processing, with a primary focus on implementing process improvements to ensure timely payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
  • Develop and implement new accounts payable processes or enhance existing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance levels.
  • Actively participate in the timely and accurate processing of invoices, ensuring proper coding, approval, documentation, and payment.
  • Lead and participate in the month-end closing process for accounts payable.
  • Oversee credit card transactions for T&E, purchase cards & vendor cards (Concur, AMEX).
  • Develop and implement a process to reconcile Accounts Payable to our vendors' records.
  • Plan payment cycles to ensure optimal use of cash.
  • Investigate accounts payable issues as needed.
  • Cultivate relationships with vendors and colleagues.
  • Possess knowledge of tax and accounting laws and standards.
  • Engage in general accounting activities, including research, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Requirements / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related major.
  • 3+ years of managerial experience with direct reports.
  • 5+ years of accounts payable or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Visual or similar ERP system.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated advanced analytical thinking skills.
  • Collaborative with colleagues and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Diligent, detail-oriented, and careful in work approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTable & VLOOKUP) and Word for analysis and business correspondence.
  • Prior experience with employee expenses (Concur, AMEX, or similar).
