Production Worker
FULL-TIME

Starting Pay: $18-19/hr.

Responsible for executing tasks within the converting department and performing additional responsibilities related to operational efficiency, product quality, cleanliness of the workspace, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Successfully complete written and practical assessments for equipment and products.
  2. Understand and implement all safety regulations in the work area.
  3. Operate necessary material handling equipment and manage materials appropriately.
  4. Gather data and fulfill record-keeping obligations.
  5. Familiarity with production standards and quality benchmarks.
  6. Manage changeovers, initiate operations, monitor, and adjust settings to uphold quality, production, and safety standards on production machinery.
  7. Achieve production goals at an acceptable pace while ensuring quality.
  8. Utilize measuring and weighing instruments effectively.
  9. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and resolving minor mechanical issues.
  10. Complete required training and fulfill the role of Hazardous Waste Handler, including the transfer of hazardous waste containers and ensuring proper labeling and sealing.
  11. Perform related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Work Schedule

Shift Start: 11:00 PM
Shift Duration: 8 hours, including a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.
Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Qualifications
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience with basic math and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  • Ability to comprehend and work with metric measurements and volumes.
  • Previous experience in machine operation is preferred.
  • Physical capability to lift 60 lbs., climb stairs, walk, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in high humidity and elevated temperature environments.
  • Must be available to work any required shift, including overtime as per union agreements.
  • Complete all mandatory annual training to comply with safety regulations and EPA and OSHA standards.
  • Participate in problem-solving teams as necessary.
Forklift experience is advantageous.
