Production Worker
FULL-TIME

Starting Pay: $18-19/hr.

Responsible for executing tasks within the converting department and performing additional responsibilities related to operational efficiency, product quality, cleanliness of the workspace, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Complete written and practical assessments required for equipment and product handling.
  2. Understand and implement all safety regulations in the workplace.
  3. Operate necessary material handling equipment and manage materials appropriately.
  4. Gather data and fulfill record-keeping obligations.
  5. Familiarity with production standards and quality benchmarks.
  6. Manage changeovers, initiate operations, monitor, and adjust settings to uphold quality, production, and safety standards on machinery.
  7. Manufacture products at an acceptable pace while meeting quality expectations.
  8. Utilize measuring and weighing instruments effectively.
  9. Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating machinery, making adjustments, and resolving minor mechanical issues.
  10. Complete required training and fulfill the responsibilities of Hazardous Waste Handler, including transferring hazardous waste containers to designated areas and ensuring proper labeling and sealing.
  11. Perform related tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Work Schedule

Shift Start: 11:00 PM
Shift Duration: 8 hours, including a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.
Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Qualifications
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience with basic math and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  • Capability to understand and work with metric measurements and volumes.
  • Prior experience in machine operation is preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift 60 lbs., climb stairs, walk, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in high humidity and elevated temperature environments.
  • Willingness to work any required shift, including overtime as per union agreements.
  • Completion of all necessary annual training to comply with safety regulations and EPA and OSHA standards.
  • Participation in problem-solving teams as needed.
Forklift experience is advantageous.
