Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team at Houston Country Club.
Responsibilities- Invoice Processing: Process all incoming invoices for payment in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Payment Facilitation: Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Financial Reporting: Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Vendor Management: Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Expense Management: Understand expense accounts and cost centers.
- Compliance: Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Skills: Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Tools: Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
- Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred but not required.
Working Conditions
This position is primarily administrative in nature and will require most work to be done in a typical office setting. The employee will likely be seated the majority of the time but should be comfortable walking throughout the Club's campus and should occasionally be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time. They may be required to lift, move, and/or carry up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 30 pounds occasionally, as well as carry out various functions that may require pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching. Manual dexterity to grasp, hold, and move objects, as well as to operate standard office equipment is required. Visual, hearing, and speaking ability sufficient to understand and communicate with fellow employees is required.
