Job Overview

Amerapex Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in assisting the accounting department with data entry, preparing financial spreadsheets, and performing basic accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files, process purchase orders, and enter data for accounts payable vouchers and payment processing.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies with clear and concise communication.
  • Prepare expense accruals and general ledger reconciliations, sort and file processed documents, and assist with accounting projects as needed.
  • Respond to client and vendor inquiries in a timely manner and ensure resolution to all management.
  • Verify all corresponding charges are listed on quotes and billed accurately to clients according to the contract/agreement.
  • Handle all sensitive financial information with the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Maintain files in an organized and accessible manner, performing file purges on a regular basis and creating new filing systems as needed.
Requirements
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and peripheral devices efficiently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills a plus.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills, positive attitude, and team player.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
Education/Credentials
  • 1+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment.
