Job Title: Regional Manager

At The John Stewart Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Manager to join our team. As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a portfolio of communities managed by JSCo.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Management: Hire, train, supervise, develop, and terminate employees in accordance with company policies and directives.
  • Property Oversight: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Accountability: Prepare annual operating and capital budgets, review financial statements, and ensure accuracy of accounting and rent roll reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including fair housing and employment practices.
  • Marketing and Leasing: Develop and implement marketing plans, conduct regular inspections, and make recommendations to improve marketing and leasing effectiveness.
  • New Developments: Coordinate start-up of operations, including application process, contract and service procurement, staff hiring and training.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance programs, including HUD, LIHTC, and CHRP.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • This position interacts with internal and external individuals on a regular basis.
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods of time is necessary.
  • Lifting heavy boxes of documents and moving them to a storage room that may be dusty.
  • Driving extensively to various property locations.
