About the Position:

TJFACT is seeking a skilled System Administrator – Information Management Specialist to support our DOS DT IT team in Iraq. The successful candidate will provide expert-level support for unclassified and classified systems, responsible for all aspects of an enterprise network including mobile devices, workstations, servers, network switches, routers, encryptors, cabling, and microwave dishes. The Systems Administrator travels to off-site locations as needed to support special projects or cover staffing gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for testing, installing, configuring, maintaining, optimizing, and upgrading various aspects of an enterprise network, including hardware, software, and services.
  • Analyze and define network requirements.
  • Document and maintain basic network architecture.
  • Network workload monitoring capacity and performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues.
  • Develop network backup and recovery procedures.
  • Apply information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
  • Common tasks include image workstations via image server, build images for the image server, verify security settings, create scripts for automation, modify Active Directory settings and policies, manage and build Structured Query Language (SQL) databases, install, maintain, patch, troubleshoot, test, and document system and network hardware on local networks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Associate's degree in Information Technology (IT) related field and two years' experience in systems administration – OR – four years' experience in systems administration required.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA Windows Server 2016), Engineer (MCSE Core Infrastructure) or equivalent may be considered in lieu of the Associate's degree.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or similar networking certification required.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or similar required.
  • Previous Help Desk or Customer Support experience required.
  • High level of interpersonal skill to liaise between customer needs and higher tiers of internal technical support within Mission Iraq and at other Department of State locations.
  • Able to support configuration and maintenance of all DOS-approved operating systems.
  • Active security clearance required.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
